Terms of use
Last updated:
These terms govern the use of the CaseFlow Desktop application ("CaseFlow" or "the Software"), its licence service and its integrations with third-party services such as Zoom, Google and Microsoft 365, and the use of the website caseflow.co.il. The Software is provided by LegalTech ("we", "us"). By installing or using CaseFlow you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the law firm that holds the licence.
1. Licence
CaseFlow is licensed, not sold. Subject to payment and to these terms, we grant the licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on the number of computers ("seats") covered by the licence key, for the firm's own professional activity. The licence key must not be shared outside the licensee's firm. We may suspend a key that is used on more seats than purchased, or in breach of these terms, after notice to the licensee's e-mail address.
2. Your data stays on your computers
CaseFlow keeps the firm's case data (clients, contacts, cases, documents, time and billing records) in an encrypted database on the firm's own computers. We do not host that data, do not have access to it, and cannot recover it if the computer or its backups are lost. Backups, access control on the computers and compliance with the firm's professional-secrecy obligations are the licensee's responsibility. What we do process is described in the privacy policy.
3. Third-party integrations
Integrations (Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, e-mail providers, AI providers, Israel's court system) connect CaseFlow to accounts the licensee holds with those providers. Each provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to that account. You are responsible for keeping the right to use those accounts and for what you send through them. We may withdraw or change an integration if the provider changes or withdraws the interface it relies on. Where CaseFlow can use AI models on your behalf, you choose whether to enable them and what to send; the output is a draft that a lawyer must review.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the Software except as permitted by law.
- Do not use the Software to send unsolicited messages or to access systems you are not authorised to access.
- Do not circumvent the licence check, seat limits or usage meters.
- Do not use the Software in a way that gets a shared resource (such as a court portal) blocked for other users.
5. Updates and availability
CaseFlow checks for updates and installs them with your consent. The licence service and the optional server-side services (remote signing, managed AI) are provided as-is and may be unavailable for maintenance. The Software keeps working offline for the period allowed by the licence.
6. Fees
Fees, seats and the licence term are stated on the order or invoice. Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change fees for the next licence term with at least 30 days' notice.
7. Warranty and liability
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Software working as described. To the extent permitted by law, the Software is provided without any other warranty, and our total liability for any claim connected to the Software is limited to the fees paid for the licence term in which the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of data that was not backed up, or consequences of relying on AI-generated drafts without review. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Israeli law.
8. Termination
The licence ends when the licence term expires without renewal, or earlier if we terminate it for a material breach that is not cured within 14 days of notice. After termination the Software stops accepting new work; the firm's local database remains on the firm's computers and can be exported.
9. The website
The content on caseflow.co.il is general information about the Software and is not legal advice. The contact form is for genuine enquiries; automated or abusive use of it is prohibited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the current version is always at this address, with the date above. Material changes are announced to the licensee's e-mail address at least 30 days before they take effect.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: support@caseflow.co.il.
